The winner of the Photo Competition is Academy Pirin from Bulgaria!!
“Children and adults ā members, friends, and partners of the Sports Club “Academy Pirin” united under this year’s motto of the European Week of Sport ā “We can achieve it together ā letās try to Be Active”, by participating in a sports eco-event aimed at promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, as well as protecting our surrounding environment.
Today, thanks to their enthusiasm and motivation ā despite the windy conditions, the participants dedicated part of their time to brief physical activity, while simultaneously managing to clean a portion of the grassy areas around the “Septemvri” stadium in the town of Razlog. They also placed informational signs related to the recycling of cans and bottles and learned about the benefits of using reusable bottles.
During the event, participants of all ages cleaned the grassy and forest areas of discarded packaging, bottles, and other waste. Afterwards, they put up new instructional signs on the waste bins, aiming to encourage the separate collection of plastic bottles and aluminum cans. By practicing waste separation, each person can contribute to the recycling process, which helps slow down the depletion of natural resources. Additionally, all visitors to the “Septemvri” stadium and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to support the national campaign for children’s health, “Caps for the Future.”
Participants were also encouraged to use reusable bottles ā made from sturdier and safer materials, which do not release harmful substances during prolonged use, ensuring better health care. Moreover, the use of such bottles promotes a sustainable lifestyle and contributes to the conservation of natural resources.
For their efforts, all participants in today’s event received electronic certificates of participation, aiming to reduce paper usage and preserve tree species.
